Has anyone else been getting comments like this one?
Cool article as for me. I'd like to read something more concerning that theme. The only thing it would also be great to see on this blog is some photos of any gizmos.

The cell phone jammer is a link to a store that sells something. I bet the post Evidence says no life on Mars could really use pictures of gizmos, yeah.

This is why I now moderate comments on posts that are more than 7 days old.

  1. My blog seems to fly under the spam radar, but I've seen crap like that all over the place. The worst is when they have a bot that lifts random text from the post and other comments, to make a word salad that sounds at first like someone is actually trying (poorly) to make a point. Then you notice the link...

  2. Yeah, and it's happening increasingly frequently. Oddly, some of them actually do refer to the post content, so they seem to be written (badly) by some actual human being somewhere. I guess it must pay the bills! I think I'll add comment moderation to older posts too.

  3. I just got this one on O'Reilly on Oprah on Denmark:

The French gourmet cheese Bleu d'Auvergne has a wonderful aroma, a rich taste; the saltiness increases with the incidence of veining. The overall flavor is piquant but not overly sharp. Bleu d'Auvergne started life as an imitation of Roquefort, using cow's milk in place of sheep's milk. Legend has it that a peasant, around 1845, decided to inject his cheese with a blue mold that he found growing on his left-over bread (the motto being, waste not, want not). And thus, the gourmet cheese Bleu d'Auvergne was born. This French gourmet blue cheese comes from the region of Auvergne and the cheese is made from milk of Salers and Aubrac cows. The rind is very thin and so the cheese is usually wrapped in foil. The cheese is rich and creamy with a pale yellow color and scattered holes and well-defined greenish-blue veining. We cut and wrap this cheese in wedge of 8 ounces and 1 pound.

There was a link to buy it, too.
