Opulence, Mugabe style

UPDATE 12/12: It appears that these pictures were not taken in Mugabe's home. Check this page out.

I don't know how these pictures were taken, but they are supposed to be of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's residence in Harare.

I was thinking, how can anyone even appreciate living like that when people right outside are starving? I think it takes a special kind of mind. Mao was the same is this respect.

Incidentally, Mugabe has argued that before colonization Zimbabweans did not engage in homosexual acts. I suppose that means he pictures it as something those sub-human British invented and introduced.

In 1995 he said that homosexuality
"...Degrades human dignity. It's unnatural and there is no question ever of allowing these people to behave worse than dogs and pigs. If dogs and pigs do not do it, why must human beings? We have our own culture, and we must re-dedicate ourselves to our traditional values that make us human beings... What we are being persuaded to accept is sub-animal behaviour and we will never allow it here. If you see people parading themselves as lesbians and gays, arrest them and hand them over to the police!"
As I have demonstrated before, there is nothing unnatural about homosexuality. Animals do it. Don't get me started about plants...

Apparently sodomy is a big no-no, but getting two children by your 40-years younger secretary, Grace Marufu (first shopper), while both she and Mugabe were still married to other people is acceptable. But then again, he is a Roman Catholic.

  1. Snopes has debunked this. They are actually pictures of a home in Bel Air:
