Calling all philanthropists

Top of my (material) wish list is now Kindle 2.
Preferably preloaded with a library of non-fiction.


  1. I'm scared of the cost of the book downloads, though. On Amazon they say something like $9.99 per book. Since it's so easy to download (anywhere, 60 seconds), I imagine the bills could grow fairly quickly. Compared to that the $359 for the Kindle would be negligible.

  2. I've been looking too, Kindle2 seems much better than Kindle1, which I almost got a year ago before a trip. I also see that Iphone has a Kindle book reader application, so I might just get an iphone...
